Our journey began in 2004, when Engel & Völkers made its grand entrance into the United States market, establishing its flagship location in the picturesque city of Naples. Today, this town proudly serves as the heart of our operations and the corporate headquarters of Engel & Völkers Florida.
With a strong presence in 50+ markets, including vibrant metropolises, coastal retreats, and charming towns, we have meticulously curated a network of franchise locations that echo our commitment to excellence. Drawing from our roots in Hamburg, Germany, where Engel & Völkers was founded in 1977, we bring forth a wealth of European heritage to redefine luxury real estate experiences in the Americas.
How an idea became a global brand.

Dirk C. Engel established Engel & Cie in December 1977. Shortly after, Christian Völkers joined this venture marking the beginning of Engel & Völkers' success story.

In 1990 Engel & Völkers established its first shop outside of Germany, in Mallorca, Spain -- one of Germany's leading feeder markers. In the late 1990s Engel & Völkers launched its franchise offerings.

In 2013, Engel & Völkers began franchising in the US, starting in Florida. Through unrivaled brand consistency, sophisticated systems and innovations, we've done what no other European real estate company has been able to do — successfully establish itself in the Americas.

To satisfy the distinct needs of builders, developers and investors, Development Services was established in 2019. This division consists of experts on five continents who represent over 500 projects from townhome communities to mixed use high-rises.
